  8. If you apply for an apprenticeship scheme you will qualify to apply for an NUS card as well. The NUS website will display the various discounts your NUS card will entitle you to.

  7. Why the foundation level? Why CTFL?
  8. The Foundation Level qualification is aimed at professionals who need to demonstrate practical knowledge of the fundamental concepts of software testing.   9. What are the entry criteria for ISTQB / CTFL?
  10. It is suggested that candidates for the Foundation Level certification have at least six months’ practical experience in a professional testing role.

  11. Which levels are available after Foundation?
  12. Holders of the Foundation Core certificate are eligible to continue on to higher level software testing qualifications, certifying themselves at Core Advanced level, and then at the Expert level, as well as sitting in the Agile Tester exam or certifying themselves at one of the Specialist certifications.   29. What is the pass mark for the ISTQB Advanced courses?
  30. The pass mark for ALL three ISTQB Advanced exams is 65% (Please note this is 65% and NOT a score of 65 out of 100). Each exam has a different number of questions: Test Manager = 65, Test Analyst = 60, Technical Test Analyst = 45. The pass mark for each one is 65%.

  14. Yes, you can! You can use any computer and switch back and forth (i.e. between a work computer and a home computer) – however, you may not share your training courses with another person.

  16. Yes, courses do include audio. However, all instructions and explanations are in written form so you need not solely depend on the audio for learning.
